Essay: Technology and Its Influence on Educational System

Technological developments that so advanced in this modern or millennial era make many impacts in fields of social, politics, economy, and education. As the one of impacts from technological developments, education use this impact in system of management. Currently, the teacher prefer to teach by using developments of technology likes in the system of learning in classroom, giving an assignments, and doing examination.

The influence on the classroom learning system is the first impact of technological developments. In this modern era, the teacher usually prefer to do learning system by using technology with laptop or tablet. They are showing the lesson by using slides from LCD and projector. They say this way is easier in the learning process especially when teach in the class. By using this way, the students are also more interested and enthusiastic in receiving the material. Technological developments also make impact that influenced in assignments system. In this case, the teacher have benefited because they can give an assignment via online like use email, gmail, whatsapp, line, and the others. Even not infrequently from them use education apps like edmodo, google classroom, and the others. The condition also make the students easier and understand because they can do task in home and more careful.

Examination system by using technological developments also be an influence of it. I had experienced it by myself. When I was in high school, I did my final exam by computer based. In there, the instructor just gave the directions to the students. I thought it was so easy and interested. In addition, now every exam usually uses this way because it is so simple. We don't need a lot of paper for examination and it also reduce the education budget especially in examination system.

Although in other opinion, the teacher prefer to use manual system because they say that it can be more honest. The students also be more easy because they don't need technological tools like smartphone. However, seen from the benefits that be proven in 2018, total of students that do examination by computer based is 5.967.237 included junior and senior high school in Indonesia. This is taken from kemdikbud.

From the statements. I think that developments of technology gives influence in educational system. It can be proven through many systems like learning in class, giving an assignments, and examination.
